Tampa Bay lighting
Create exciting and dynamic animations to enhance the live game experience of a Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Game.
Project Brief
Hockey enthusiasts. 60% male adults 25-50yo with disposable income.
Audience
Explored the raw energy and electrifying spirit of the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL team. Drawing inspiration from the power and intensity of lightning, I leaned into a Tron: Legacy aesthetic, using 3D emission materials to create a glowing, electric atmosphere. The visuals radiate energy, echoing the speed, strength, and adrenaline of the team. By merging futuristic lighting effects with dynamic movement, I aimed to capture the essence of electricity, bringing the team's power to life in a bold and striking way.
Concept
The Lightning compete as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League. The club has won three Stanley Cup championships in their history, in 2003–04, 2019 – 2020, & 2020-2021. Amalie Arena is in Tampa, Florida
and has been used for ice hockey, basketball, arena football games, and concerts. It is home to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Amalie Arena is the eighth- largest ice hockey arena in the world by seating capacity (19,092).
